Zone: Charlottetown

Welcome to the zone area for Charlottetown, PEI.

Charlottetown is home base for CASARA PEI's only zone from the previous location in Summerside PEI. CASARA PEI is based out of the Charlottetown Airport (YYG) and have a stationed office in a hangar at 230 Brackley Point Rd.

In the recent years CASARA PEI has hosted joint exercises facilitated by 413 Squadron, involving CASARA PEI, NB, and NS!

CASARA PEI provides excellent air service with NAV Canada and the Charlottetown airport, CYYG. This allows Charlottetown to be the perfect area, centrally located for CASARA PEI to have its only zone, as it gives easy access to the entire province on any given training exercise or tasking that takes place.

The Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) will continue to evolve and support the Canadian Search and Rescue (SAR) and Aviation Safety Programs through leadership, continuous training of its volunteers and education of the general aviation community.
